New Bus Stop signs

While the new bus stop signs are nice, there is NOTHING there for the blind. The QR codes do NOT scan when it is dark out. I am working on a solution for the stops I use at various times. See http://www.ke5asu.com/bus.html

Capital Metro is attempting to break Municipal Ordinance, and ADA law not suprising.

Since I am fortunate to still have internet access at my home. I got an email from I can make it better in which has new bus stop signs.

Capital Metro who is trying their best to violate ADA laws by not having accessible bus displays, comes up with new bus stop signage.

WE WILL OCCUPY AUSTIN, NOW LETS OCCUPY CAP METRO

Below is a summary of the FTA complaint against Capital Metro. Please note the new content, not posted before: "EMERGING SERIOUS CIVIL RIGHTS CONCERNS/VIOLATIONS". Clearly, Cap Metro's master is the DownTown Business Alliance; CMTA management has a new montra, (expressed by Elaine Timbes), - "We will run Metro like a business". Corporate greed and benefits to developpers motivate our transportation, which contradicts why Capital Metro exists in the first place.

Do you have transportation options?

However, Capital Metro's Dispatch department thinks so.

CMTA/Its Board Will Inevitably Allow Abuse of Disabled Paratransit Passengers to Continue

The following article clearly demonstrates that one of the two bidders for the new gestapo eligibility process soon to be forced on Travis county disabled paratransit passengers, is not the kind of company Austin wants. However, recently resigned MetroAccess director, Inez Evans, would most certainly approve of this company since the sole purpose of the new functional assessment process is to kick passengers off the paratransit system.

Wrongful Death Lawsuit Waiting to Happen

As you read the folowing news story, please remember the hundreds of illegal paratransit denials and those passengers who MetroAccess has forced to attempt to ride fixed route because its director illegally imposed conditions on their paratransit eligibility that were not correct. And also please remember that the majority of CMTA board members recently approved a new eligibility process that the facts clearly show MetroAccess is not equipped to properly implement.

Introduction:

MetroAccess Knowingly Places Hundreds of Disabled Paratransit Passengers at Risk

The following is an excerpt from an affidavit submitted to the FTA. It proves conclusively, and beyond a shadow of a doubt, that the current MetroAccess director, who has recently announced her resignation, is responsible for the hundreds of wrongful conditional determinations listed below. However, the CMTA board was also informed of these violations, yet, typically, they prefered to only believe CMTA, as if their words were the writ of God, instead of investigating and correcting the violations as a competent board would do.

CMTA Board Advised of Illegal MetroAccess Paratransit Denials but THEY DID ABSOLUTELY NOTHING

Following is a March 2010 resolution from the Access Advisory Committee, written by my Special Mentor, Diane Bomar, presented to the Capital Metro Board of directors. It describes the civil rights violations in the MetroAccess paratransit eligibility process. Instead of the CMTA board taking action, they merely believed MetroAccess management and the CMTA audit report that claimed no civil rights violations existed.
