Whay are Public Meetings (including Board Meetings) held at the time they are? I work in EXTREME NORTH AUSTIN and it is impossible to get to the meetings by bus when they are held when they are.

This past Tuesday I had planned to take the afternoon off work. As it turned out, Cap Metro was having a Public Meeting that night at 5:00 at the Cap Metro Store. I made the meeting and met Roberto Gonzalez, who works in Planning at Cap Metro. I told him that Route 383 needs to run AT LEAST every 30 minutes on Saturdays. He told me it used to, but the ridership wasn't there. I then suggested from the start of service to noon. I told him that he needed to be at the N Lamar Transit Center (where the route begins) at 7:30 AM, and see how many people ride the bus (standing room only).

At least Roberto DOES ride the bus to / from work! I wish ALL of Cap Metro employees had to ride the bus.

I learned that on Route 325, the bus size is supposed to be 35 feet, which includes a back door. The 70 series buses are NOT supponed to be used on this busy route. If I see a 70 series bus as a 325, I am now calling Roberto or emailing him. Violia claims they don't have enough large buses in case the bus breaks down. Most of the large buses are between StarTran and First Transit.
Since that is the case, I think that Route 325 needs to be driven by StarTran or First Transit.
