Ride the bus for FREESubmitted by beastman on Tue, 03/17/2009 - 17:23 |
Update - 8/15/2009 - The Route 142 buses STILL DO NOT have fare boxes that issue a day pass. Perhaps we need to organize and a bunch of us ride the 142 for FREE.
I've noticed that Route 142, which goes TO DOWNTOWN in the morning and FROM DOWNTOWN in the afternoon DO NOT currently have the farebox required to issue a Day Pass. All you need to do is have your $1.75 (or $2.00 no change provided) and tell the driver you want a "DAY PASS" and you can ride Route 142 for FREE. Route 142 runs on Parmer, Rundberg, and downtown. See http://www.capmetro.org for the complete Route 142 schedule.
This will only work until Capital Metro gets the new fareboxes in the buses that serve Route 142.
