I learned this past weekend what "that construction" at St. Johns and North Lamar is. The site where the construction is taking place is now owned, leased, or rented by Capital Metro (I haven't found out which, but I assume owned). They are building a new North Lamar Transit Center, that will serve BOTH buses and the forthcoming rail. It is my understanding that when the new North Lanar Transit Center is opened, that the existing North Lamar Transit Center will be closed since it doesn't make sense to have to transit centers so close to each other.

After the new North Lamar Transit Center Opens, I HOPE that Capital Metro will sell that expensive real estate at the corner of North Lamar and US HWY 183. Where is the income from the sale of the current North Lamar Transit Center in Capital Metro's budget?
